Beef and Barley soup a nutritious and delicious comfort food, our recipe is prepared using our French Onion Dip Mix
In saucepan, over medium high heat, sauté beef cubes in oil until no longer pink, but not cooked through (about 3 minutes).
Add carrot and cook for 2 minutes more. Add contents of Dip Mix pouch and stir to blend.
Quickly add stock, and then barley. Simmer, partially covered, over low heat until barley is tender but firm (about 25 minutes).
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
